Dear Parents,
The first trimester closes with students having completed a major research project. Additionally, students have become proficient using prediction and sequencing as strategies to aid in their comprehension of texts.
The second trimester holds some challenging assignments, but the students are more than capable of rising to the occasion. Students are no longer required to submit a weekly reading log. Rather, they are to summarize three nights worth of reading on a weekly basis. Please remember that assignments turned in one day late receive only partial credit. No credit is given for work that is not turned in within one day.
